In Laparoscopic surgery, a small incision in your abdomen is made to insert thin tubes into your body. These tubes hold surgical tools and a special camera to see inside your body. Laparoscopic surgery requires general anesthesia.
Both Open and Laparoscopic surgery show similar results because the cuts are small. It’s rare to have problems after any of these surgeries, but some people notice:
- persistence or recurrence of varicocele
- hydrocele (fluid around the testicle)
- injury to the testicular artery
Most of the time, patient needs a couple of days to return to normal activities.
